You & your role
We’re building GenAI solutions that are as impactful for our customers as they are exciting for us to create — and we need your help. As a Medior GenAI Engineer, you’ll be part of a multi-disciplinary team with end-to-end ownership of your work: from data ingestion to deployment and monitoring. You’ll design and deploy scalable GenAI systems, automate relentlessly across the development lifecycle and collaborate across teams to drive innovation. You’ll apply your technical expertise to ensure performance, reliability and real-world impact.
Practical examples

- Design and build responsible and cost effective GenAI solutions for up to 9.5 million Rabobank customers.
- Convert a use-case specific code base to re-usable building blocks used by 100+ tech teams.
- Pair-program with members of your squad and across other Squads within Rabobank to solve critical or complex problems.

Top responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and implementation of GenAI solutions using Azure services (e.g., Azure OpenAI, Azure ML, AKS, Azure Functions, API gateway).
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Terraform, Kong, and Bicep.
- Build and maintain robust Python-based microservices and automation tools to support GenAI workflows and infrastructure provisioning.
- Integrate and manage GenAI products to support complex multi-step workflows and decision-making processes.
- Ensure performance, reliability, security, compliance, and performance optimization of GenAI workloads in cloud-native environments.
Collaboration & Delivery
- Work closely with Data Scientists, Product Owners, and Engineers to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Participate in the development of AI workflows including prompt chaining, memory management, and agent orchestration.
- Communicate technical concepts clearly within cross-functional teams and to non-technical stakeholders, influencing decision-making.
- Support integration of GenAI capabilities into existing platforms and services.
- Act as a trusted advisor for GenAI strategy and infrastructure scalability.

Required Qualifications:
- 2–4 years in technical roles (DevOps, Software Engineering, ML Engineering, or Data Science).
- Hands-on experience deploying AI workloads (preferably Generative AI or agentic systems) in development or staging environments.
- Practical experience with Cloud platforms: Azure (preferred) or AWS or GCP, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep).
- Proficiency in Python for automation and API integration.
- Basic familiarity with agentic frameworks (LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI) and AI workflow orchestration concepts.
- Understanding of vector databases and RAG patterns at a conceptual level.
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and exposure to orchestration tools (AKS/Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of API development and integration; exposure to API gateways is a plus.
- Awareness of security and monitoring practices for cloud and AI systems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within Agile teams (SCRUM or Kanban).
