Join Tradin Organic as a Quality Assurance Engineer

Tradin Organic is a global front-runner and leader in organic ingredients, sourcing, processing, and supplying over 150 organic ingredients from more than 60 origins worldwide. Our full-service portfolio is built on an extraordinary and robust supply chain of farmers, traceable sourcing projects, quality assurance, sustainability initiatives, and in-house processing facilities. With offices worldwide, we foster a vibrant, diverse, and multicultural environment.

Together, we supply organic ingredients that taste good and do good. Join us in our mission to make everyone’s first choice organic.

Make impact — for planet, product & customers 📍Amsterdam, The Netherlands (HQ, next to Central Station)

At Tradin Organic, we believe that we have an impact. Quality Assurance is a key role within our company, directly impacting and influencing processes, products, and customers.

We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer who not only cares about quality, food safety, and organic-compliant products, but also wants to make a difference.

What you’ll do:

  • You are the link between suppliers, production partners, and customers.
  • You ensure that our organic products — from seeds/nuts, oils, fruit and vegetables to sugars — meet the highest standards for quality, food safety, and sustainability.

Our responsibilities and objectives:

  • Assess new and existing suppliers worldwide, evaluate supplier information, and address any gaps with our requirements. Collaborate with suppliers to fill gaps and decide on future cooperation, including conducting supplier audits as needed.
  • Oversee quality control to ensure products are within specification, follow up on product analysis, release products, and implement improvements regarding products and processes. Address out-of-specification issues as they arise.
  • Decide on necessary treatments for products before sale and follow up with production regarding quality and food safety aspects.
  • Respond to customer needs, including answering questionnaires, handling complaints, addressing customer questions, and managing customer specifications.

Your team: professional, passionate, and always learning

You’ll join a professional, international QA team where collaboration and learning are at the heart of everything we do. Our people are true experts: experienced, curious, and eager to share knowledge. You’ll be encouraged to take initiative, grow, and bring your ideas to life in an organization that’s constantly evolving. Not one day is the same but one thing never changes: we do it together.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food or Life Sciences.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a QA role (production or corporate environment).
  • Strong communication skills — English is a must; Dutch is a plus.
  • Knowledge of food safety, risk assessment, and preferably organic legislation.
  • A keen eye for detail, a positive attitude, and a continuous-improvement mindset.

Where you will be working

Our company is rooted in passion, integrity, and sustainability for organic. We are a global, multicultural, purpose-oriented company, aware of our impact on people, food, and the environment. For us, it’s about working together, being responsible and entrepreneurial while having a blast doing it. It’s a dynamic, fast-paced environment supported by 30 years of expertise in the business. We encourage our employees to embrace our values, bring ideas to the table, and go for it! We foster an inclusive, balanced, open environment to support and develop your work and skills while you make a real difference. We build bridges and create strong bonds across the entire supply and people chain, internally and externally. From the beginning – organic and beyond.

Our offer

  • An exciting role in a rapidly growing international company
  • A truly international position with real impact on sustainable food chains.
  • A position for 40 hours.
  • A workspace right in the center of Amsterdam, next to Central Station
  • Good working conditions and a pleasant and dynamic work environment
  • Work-from-home flexibility in line with our policy
  • Enjoy benefits through ALLEO – our benefits platform, with a monthly employer contribution
  • Commuting allowance – in line with our policy
  • A competitive remuneration package
  • An informal and professional company culture of team spirit with a can-do attitude.
