Shape the Future of Offshore Decommissioning

Are You Ready to Lead Complex Decommissioning Projects?

Do you have the expertise to contract and manage complex decommissioning projects, ensuring safety and efficiency every step of the way? We are in search of a proven Disposal Manager with a strong record of stakeholder engagement and successful project delivery to become part of our Project Management Department in Delft.

About the Project Management Department

Our department oversees the safe and compliant execution of offshore construction projects for leading energy companies across the globe. These projects are high-value—often exceeding 100 million euros—and are characterised by multi-year planning, innovative design, engineering, and offshore construction. Each project is unique, presenting fresh challenges and opportunities for growth.

Your role

As Disposal Manager, you will coordinate and integrate multiple work packages dedicated to the disposal of decommissioned offshore assets, including platform topsides and jackets removed by our construction vessels. You’ll manage the decommissioning subcontractor and collaborate closely with our dedicated project team and stakeholders to deliver cost-effective, high-quality disposal solutions—ensuring that every aspect is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.

What You’ll Do

  • Evaluate and review subcontracts for decommissioning work scopes
  • Manage subcontractors and budgets for disposal work packages, maintaining accurate forecasts throughout the project’s lifecycle
  • Act as the interface between internal disciplines and external suppliers to achieve project objectives
  • Cultivate ownership and accountability across teams and suppliers
  • Uphold the highest safety standards in all activities
  • Prevent nonconformities relating to product, process, and our management systems
  • Ensure seamless transitions between project phases with thorough handovers
  • Take charge of your professional development in collaboration with relevant departments
  • Assist in the load-in operations for platforms and jackets from the barge to disposal yards

What we expect from you

You’re a confident communicator and negotiator with a hands-on approach to build relationships with subcontractors, clients, and internal teams. Self-motivated and proactive, you thrive in multi-disciplinary settings and are dedicated to commercial success. You’re ready and willing to travel regularly to disposal sites across the UK, Norway, Denmark, and the Netherlands.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent
  • Additional relevant technical and managerial training (preferred)
  • At least 5 years of project/contract management experience, preferably in marine or offshore industries
  • Background in industrial disposal or recycling
  • Expertise in HSE Management and Project Management
