You will play a key role in assisting the Sr. Accounting & Reporting Manager in achieving timely and accurate month-end closure procedures of Bunge Loders Croklaan. You will also become responsible for maintaining a robust control environment as required by SOX and ensuring compliance with applicable accounting rules.
This role offers the opportunity to work independently and proactively with internal and external partners across different regions and cultures, including the Netherlands, Germany and West Africa, and to lead special projects and initiatives.
Your Role in Our Network
- Coordinate with the FP&A and risk teams to ensure accurate tracking of trade contracts and validate mark to market calculations; analyze monthly P&L statements for trading activities.
- Ensure the correctness and completeness of periodical financial information (balance sheet, P&L, and cash flow) in accordance with applicable accounting rules.
- Oversee accounting activities such as reconciliations, journal entries, financial statements, and reports on a regular basis; coordinate and collaborate with external auditors and provide them with vital information and documentation for audit purposes.
- Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy, consistency, and comparability of financial information across different regions and entities.
- Develop process memos in line with applicable US GAAP/IFRS standards for management review and audit documentation.
- Demonstrate expertise in transactions across all areas of the balance sheet and P&L; perform monthly/quarterly balance sheet & P&L reviews with detailed scopes and thresholds.
- Review reporting in the global consolidation system and independently answer queries from the Finance global team regarding monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for assigned entities.
- Lead annual/quarterly audits by preparing required schedules and interacting directly with external auditors; draft audit reports inclusive of required disclosures in compliance with IFRS/US GAAP or other applicable frameworks.
- Review Transfer Pricing assessments, including CUP analysis, management fees analysis, and IC sales/purchases analysis.
- Assist in overseeing the SOX annual audit cycle and SOX management testing with the SOX team; monitor remediation of financial reporting issues, control deficiencies, and Management Action Plan; perform and review SOX controls as defined by the KC matrix.
- Apply proficiency in inventory accounting concepts to ensure the integrity and accuracy of all inventory-related financial reporting and disclosures.

Who Are We Looking For?
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Recommended CA (Chartered Accountant) or CPA with prior experience in manufacturing/commodities business.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in accounting or auditing, preferably with exposure to mark-to-market, consolidation systems, and US GAAP / IFRS.
- Proficiency in English; Dutch is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of automating accounting and reporting workflows to enhance accuracy and efficiency is a plus.
