Join Treatwell as a Mid-Level Product Designer

Product Designer (Mid-Level)

We seek a passionate and collaborative Mid-Level Product Designer to join our SaaS design team. Treatwell’s SaaS team focuses on the business tools salons use to manage their business through our iOS and Android apps.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to solve problems through design while thinking holistically across Treatwell’s user journeys and platforms. You’ll contribute to the entire design process, from research and ideation to prototyping and implementation. You’ll work collaboratively with the SaaS design lead, product managers, and engineers in an internationally distributed team.

Most importantly, we seek someone who is a self-starter, organised, ambitious and enthusiastic about developing their skills further.

You will be responsible for:

  • Collaborating with other designers, user researchers, product managers, and engineers to plan, design, build and evolve our products.
  • Influencing strategy for a product area by articulating a coherent UX vision based on clear, actionable problem / opportunity statements.
  • Advocating for the user and crafting UX solutions that meet critical business objectives.
  • Working on a range of projects on different platforms.
  • Helping facilitate idea generation with stakeholders.
  • Designing with scalability in mind and actively contributing to our design system.
  • Creating simple, intuitive experiences in a space with complex rules and workflows.
  • Consistently creating clear and compelling materials and narratives explaining design rationale to team and stakeholders using customer, business or competitive insights.
  • Actively seeking diverse feedback on your work and anticipating feedback to address it proactively.

About you:

  • Detail-oriented and passionate about the craft.
  • 4+ years as a Product or UX Designer (or equivalent experience) with robust case studies that showcase deep interaction and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience creating and using design systems.
  • Experience working in a start-up or scale-up environment.
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) skills.
  • Excellent understanding of design principles.
  • An ego-free attitude that welcomes candid feedback.
  • A willingness to fail and learn and to go beyond good enough.
  • Bonus if you can speak Dutch or German.
