The Brand Controller plays a vital role in driving financial performance and strategic decision-making for PPD brands portfolio (L’Oréal Professional, Kérastase, Redken & Shu Uemura) within L'Oréal. This position requires a highly analytical and business-minded individual with a strong understanding of financial principles and a passion for the beauty industry. The Brand Controller will partner closely with brand management, marketing, sales, and other cross-functional teams to provide financial guidance, analyse business trends, and develop actionable insights that support brand growth and profitability.

The successful candidate will play an instrumental role in the transformation of the Division, ensuring robust process implementation.

Who am I?

In this job you will have a wide range of responsibilities, including:

Financial Planning & Analysis:

  • Develop and manage the annual budget and periodic trends for the brand, ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
  • Analyze actual results against budget and trends, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to brand management, supporting key strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular performance reporting to stakeholders.

Business Partnering:

  • Act as a trusted financial advisor to brand management and other key stakeholders.
  • Provide financial guidance and support in the development of brand strategies.
  • Participate in business reviews and provide financial updates.

Reporting & Compliance:

  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with L'Oréal's financial policies and procedures.
  • Support internal and external audits as needed.

Change Management

  • Drive continuous improvement of business process and tracking tools
  • Improve readability and traceability of key financial indicators
  • Simplify and streamline processes

Your profile

You are analytically strong but pragmatic when the situation requires. As a person you are determined to make a great impact by taking initiatives and sharing your ideas. It is important to feel comfortable to collaborate with different stakeholders and that you know how to convince them if necessary. Furthermore you are open minded and supportive towards new initiatives.

Our ideal candidate has or is:

  • Master’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in the consumer goods or beauty industry.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and draw actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant financial software. Experience with SAP a plus.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A passion for the beauty industry and a strong understanding of market trends.
  • Curious, obsessed by operational excellence and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrate an entrepreneurial spirit and a will to make a difference on a daily basis
  • Fluent in English (must-have)

Additional Skills (Preferred):

  • Experience with forecasting and budgeting software.
  • Knowledge of cost accounting principles.
  • Familiarity with financial systems and processes.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
