About this role

Just Eat Takeaway is currently seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Master Data Management (MDM) Senior Team Lead to become an integral part of our Finance Systems team. This pivotal role is specifically designed for an individual who will serve as our primary Finance Data Model Owner. The successful candidate will be instrumental in upholding the highest standards of data integrity across all finance-related operations.

Key responsibilities for this position include the meticulous management of various projects, ensuring their successful execution from conception to completion. A critical aspect of this role is fostering seamless collaboration among diverse teams. The MDM Senior Team Lead will work within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, requiring exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build strong working relationships with stakeholders across different departments. The ultimate goal is to ensure that our financial data is accurate, consistent, and reliable, thereby supporting informed decision-making and efficient business operations.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role

• Lead and mentor the MDM team, setting objectives and ensuring adherence to data governance policies, standards, and procedures to maintain high data integrity and quality across financial systems.
• Act as a strategic business partner, coordinating and leading master data projects and initiatives.
• Drive continuous improvement in master data processes, policies, and governance, while building organisational awareness and providing training on accurate data usage and data governance standards.
• Serve as a bridge between business and systems, translating requirements into actionable tasks and fostering strong cross-functional relationships to resolve master data issues efficiently.
• Oversee the day-to-day activities related to master data, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all systems and supporting end-to-end business reporting.

What will you bring to the table?

• Proven experience (3-5 years preferred) in Master Data Management and Governance roles.
• Experience with financial data and an understanding of accounting flows.
• At least 2 years in a leadership or managerial capacity, demonstrating strong team leadership and mentorship skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of identifying operational issues, articulating problems, and developing solutions, especially in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
• Excellent communication (verbal, written, presentation) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organisation and manage diverse stakeholder expectations.
• Demonstrated understanding of leveraging technology (systems and AI) to streamline processes.
