Key Objectives

As a Senior Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the integration of complete customer/system solutions in the functional and software domain. Your main objectives include the creation of Test Cases based on Use Cases, creation and maintenance of Test Environments, and Test Case execution.

Description of Key Responsibilities

The Senior Test Engineer within the SIT team will be in contact with all Product Teams for SIT deliveries and planning alignment, and with the Architecture Team regarding system requirements and Use Cases. Together with the members of the SIT team, you will plan, execute, and report on the corresponding SIT activity steps.

Main Tasks

• Facilitate and chair community sessions (using methods from the Agile development methodology) of the System Integration Testing community; co-own the corresponding backlog
• Participate in System Level alignment activities with other Product Owners
• Perform risk management, considering test coverage and team capacities
• Create and execute Test Plans and test-cases, covering new features and functionalities
• Select test-cases for regression testing
• Promote and support test-automation in Product Teams and SIT team
• Work on process improvements

Competences

• Technical Knowledge / Education
  • Education on BSc/MSc level in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or equivalent
  • Certified ISTQB Advanced Test Manager or Advanced Technical Test Analyst is a plus
  • Knowledge of and experience with complex IT software systems and communication/interface protocols
  • Strong technical background, preferably with experience in embedded systems and hardware-in-the-loop setups
  • At least 10 years of experience in conventional and agile/scrum project and test management, and related methods and tooling
  • Extensive knowledge of test methods for testing in the functional and software domain; manual and automated testing (using Robot Framework)
  • Practical knowledge of tooling for testing in the functional and software domain
• Non-Technical
  • Clear and complete communication in speaking and writing; ability to conclude and summarize
  • Leadership: Has a leading role in System Integration activities and is recognized as an authority in the field
