Senior Manager Reporting & Insights at adidas

General Purpose

At adidas as a Senior Manager Digital Analytics with focus on Management Reporting & Insights you are responsible for our business reporting & self-service tools for business to read performance, KPIs, insights and measurement primarily supporting across the EU eCommerce teams. You will be working with stakeholders to generate business impact based on the team’s insights that help adidas understand sales purchase patterns to ultimately help drive sales and identify opportunities and challenges.

You will be a part of and drive complex analytical projects; work on uncovering new insights, helping to solve complex business problems into clear recommendations, build better analytics processes, deliver new or enhancing capabilities & scape how the future looks for management reporting. Using both descriptive and advanced analytics, you will help adidas make more informed business decisions.

Through data, you enable the understanding of complex business questions: what is driving our growth, what can we learn from past performance as input to future planning, how our Non-Full Price impacts Full Price etc.

Main TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES

FOUNDATIONS & AUTOMATION:

  • Support in the automation of business summary write ups
  • Ensure data quality and resolution of defects

REPORTS AND DASHBOARDS

  • Build and maintain best-in-class self-service data tools in Power BI to track the performance of our business
  • Manage roadmaps and backlogs for development and enhancements
  • Identify what the future looks like for management reporting in EU eCommerce to make business decisions easily accessible and based on data.

INSIGHTS

  • Conduct deep dives into business problems and areas of challenges & opportunities
  • Identify opportunities to be more relevant to different consumer groups
  • Combine business insights from different perspectives to give a 360 view on our business (marketing, conversion, pricing, product, industry & market insights, consumer)

MEASUREMENT

  • Define KPIs to measure the health of our business performance
  • Support with sizing opportunities to drive business growth

ADVANCED ANALYTICS AND INNOVATION

  • Pioneer usage of innovation & advanced analytics where making sense to support every-day decision making

TEAM LEADERSHIP

  • Oversee development and workload of 3 direct reports
  • Manage and plan priorities with business stakeholders

Key Relationships

  • EU e-commerce teams (Buying & Planning / Trading / Outlet / Digital Visual Merchandising / Finance / Analytics)
  • Global Digital Analytics

Technical-Skills

  • POWER BI or equivalent data visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker
  • Extensive experience in data manipulation using SQL
  • Experience working with statistics and usage of tools like R or Python
  • Confident working with multiple large data sets

Business and Communication-Skills

  • Excellent and demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills: ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively with business impact behind
  • Demonstrating creativity and initiative and acting in a result orientated way
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines with planning and organization skills
  • Comfortable presenting to stakeholders at various organizational levels
  • People management experience a plus
  • Fluent in English

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • University degree in numerical/business discipline
  • Passion for sports and the adidas brand
  • 6+ years’ experience in an Analytical role
  • Experience in eCommerce/retail/merchandising or similar
  • Experience in Clothing/footwear industry a plus
