Sample questions for your application

To ensure that we assess all candidates equally for suitability for this position, we do not require a cover letter. Instead, we ask all candidates the same three questions to see how your profile matches the position. Pay sufficient attention to answering these questions and explaining your answers; this, together with your CV, is the only information we will use to evaluate you in this round. You can draw on your work, volunteer work, education, private life, and so on. Use a maximum of 200 words per question and provide no more than two examples. Below are the questions:

  1. You’re helping one of Tech4HR’s engineering squads with their security compliancy. This squad looks after OT applications that manage light and temperature sensors in Rabobank’s buildings. The squad mentions that these applications don’t adhere to many of the internal IT security standards, so they frequently need to request exceptions and explain the reason for each application’s non-compliancy. The squad expresses frustration at how much time this takes, but there’s currently no alternative process to handle the issue.
Explain briefly how you would approach this problem. In your response, please reference past professional or personal experience that you would draw from.
  2. You’re supporting Tech4HR’s teams with routine application security assessments. You notice that each team seems to do it differently and there’s conflicting information about each step of the assessment process. Many of the teams also complain that the assessments are long and boring. You find assessment guidelines from the Information Security department, but it doesn’t provide detailed, step-by-step instructions.
What steps would you take to ensure that all Tech4HR teams consistently submit quality assessments and address negative attitudes towards security processes?
  3. The team is exploring new applications to support staff productivity. One system is the clear favourite since it is cost-effective and solves many issues that teams have encountered. However, during discussions with the tech leads, you realise that the preferred solution may be incompatible with Rabobank’s IAM requirements.
Briefly explain what you would do in this situation.

To be considered for this position, you must be located in the Netherlands and have the legal right to work in the Netherlands. We are unable to consider candidates requiring relocation from another country.
