Are you ready to help accelerate the journey towards a fossil free future through innovative technology?

At Vattenfall, we are taking concrete steps to become less dependent on fossil fuels, and our IT Strategic Development team is central to this transformation. As a Senior Angular and Mobile Developer, your expertise will be vital in creating solutions that drive meaningful change across our organisation and for society. If you are passionate about pushing boundaries in software development and want your skills to contribute directly to climate action, we would like to hear from you. Join us and collaborate with dedicated professionals who share your ambition for progress.

Our mission is to accelerate Vattenfall’s journey towards fossil freedom by delivering robust and innovative digital solutions. As a Senior Angular & Mobile Developer, you play a vital role in designing, building, deploying and maintaining scalable web and mobile applications using Angular within Azure. Your expertise in hybrid mobile development with Capacitor and Angular will help us create efficient tools that meet evolving business needs.

Your main responsibilities include:

  • Developing new features and optimising existing functionality for web and mobile platforms to ensure reliability, performance and usability
  • Improving developer tooling and CI/CD pipelines to enable faster delivery cycles while maintaining high standards of quality
  • Collaborating closely with business partners, architects and fellow development teams to refine technical requirements into practical solutions
  • Contributing to coding standards, software design best practices, security protocols and architecture strategies that support long-term growth
  • Challenging requirements constructively to deliver user-friendly applications that are scalable across Vattenfall’s operations
  • You will interact daily with colleagues from across the organisation as well as external stakeholders.

By sharing your knowledge openly and working together, you help shape solutions that benefit both our customers and society. Success in this role means delivering applications that are secure, maintainable and genuinely improve how we work – setting a standard others aspire to follow.

Qualifications

You are a Senior Developer with a proven track record in building and optimising web and mobile applications using Angular. Your deep expertise in Angular (version 9 or higher), TypeScript, SCSS, HTML5, and RxJS enables you to deliver robust solutions that meet complex business needs. You know how to leverage Capacitor for hybrid mobile development, and have experience working within monorepo architectures such as NX. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps is key for driving automation and reliability across our development lifecycle.

To succeed in this role, you additionally bring:

  • Experience with Capacitor (and optionally Ionic) for hybrid mobile app development: Essential for integrating cross-platform solutions efficiently.
  • Practical knowledge of NX monorepos, shared codebases, StorybookJS for UI component documentation, Jest unit testing and Cypress UI testing: To maintain high-quality codebases and accelerate delivery.
  • Proficiency with Git and Gitflow processes: Ensuring collaborative version control within distributed teams.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written)

You get energised by continuous learning and by challenging assumptions—pushing boundaries where needed—and creating value-driven results that make a difference.

If you thrive on innovation, enjoy sharing your expertise to elevate team performance, and believe fossil freedom is achieved through joint effort, we look forward to meeting you.
