Join TenneT as a Project Interface Manager and Shape the Future of Energy

At TenneT, we work every day on tomorrow’s electricity grid. Our goal? A reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy system. As a Project Interface Manager, you play a crucial role in realizing this ambition. Ready to make an impact?

Your Role

As Project Interface Manager, you play a crucial role in realising the 2GW offshore grid connection systems. You will be responsible for all project interface activities within the regional cluster Eemshaven for the Doordewind projects and will report to the Lead Stations of the Regional Cluster Eemshaven.

You ensure continuous coordination between internal stakeholders, contractors, cable suppliers, offshore wind farms and other parties – both on process and technical content level – to enable seamless project execution and delivery.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead, coordinate, initiate and/or support interface meetings with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement interface management procedures and (registration) tools together with project teams, contractors and other clusters.
  • Organise and/or support workshops to identify, prioritise and resolve interface issues.
  • Monitor progress and report back to the project teams.
  • Provide input for management reports and support overall reporting deliveries.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual and regulatory guidelines, requirements and goals set for HSE, time, risk and quality, in line with TenneT’s corporate manuals and guidelines.

Team management

  • Work with multiple dedicated teams to realise project goals as well as TenneT’s broader objectives and connect people and topics effectively.
  • Foster open dialogue and a culture of collaboration, teamwork and continuous learning within Offshore and the 2GW projects.
  • Exchange knowledge with experts and teams within Offshore and other departments to continuously deepen and consolidate learnings from large projects – building the grid.
  • Be critical on progress and, where needed, firm with all interface partners to ensure delivery as agreed, while maintaining strong personal relationships.

Your Profile & Background

  • At least 5 years of experience in a comparable role, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in large-scale technical project execution and planning.
  • Academic working and thinking level, preferably with a background in technical project management and/or engineering.
  • A proactive self-starter, effective decision-maker and able to turn decisions into action.
  • Enthusiastic, intrinsically motivated and result-driven.
  • Strong process mindset with focus on collaboration and partnership.
  • Excellent communication skills. You must be fluent in both English and Dutch, and preferably also able to write in both languages.
  • Resident in the Netherlands.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally abroad to contractors, but travel is not frequent.

This Will Be Your Challenge

Large Projects Offshore NL is a key contributor to the energy transition. The Unit is responsible for the current and future development of the offshore grid as a whole and subsequently for the development and realization of the DC interconnectors and the Offshore Wind Farm grid connections in the Dutch sectors of the North Sea.

You will have the responsibility to oversee and manage all interface activities and tasks of realizing the future Grid Connection System of the Regional Cluster Eemshaven, to ensure the result-oriented delivery of at least two grid connection systems in time, quality, and budget.
