Accounts Payable Specialist

Our Accounts Payable department at Sunweb Group consists of different sub-departments, each with an AP specialist as the responsible person. In your role as an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for projects, driving improvements in processes, systems, and performance. You will also serve as the key user for one of the systems we use. To ensure alignment and progress on operational processes, system usage, and continuous improvement initiatives, you will actively connect with both internal and external stakeholders. Furthermore, you will be operationally involved in day-to-day tasks such as invoice processing, handling supplier queries, and other AP activities. This hands-on involvement ensures a full understanding of the processes and fosters a strong, ongoing connection with the team.

Throughout the work week, your time will be distributed as follows: 25% project & continuous improvement activities, 25% key user role, 25% stakeholder alignment, and 25% operational tasks. In this role, you are contributing to the AP team goals by:

• Identifying and implementing improvements to increase invoice processing efficiency and accuracy
• Supporting automation initiatives and system enhancements as AP NetSuite key user
• Monitoring and improving AP KPIs such as invoice cycle time and “first time right” rates
• Acting as a bridge between operations and systems
• Facilitating process documentation, testing, and training to enable consistency and scalability
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives that reduce manual workload and improve the partner experience

What skills will bring you to the top?

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field
• At least 3 years of experience in an Account Payable / Purchase to Pay role within an international setting, with proven exposure to financial operations in the Netherlands or wider EU
• Critical thinking and analytical skills
• Efficient way of working and result orientated (Lean)
• Knowledge of NetSuite and scanning software is a pre
• Good communication skills in English (minimum C1)
