Join the NXE Availability Team at ASML – Be part of progress

Introduction

The NXE Availability team within the Performance and Integration department at ASML is dedicated to ensuring that our NXE scanners meet our customers' needs for high-volume manufacturing. We focus on optimizing all disturbances and inefficiencies that hamper our systems' availability for production. To gain valuable insights, we make use of various large data sets that our systems continuously produce.

Your Assignment

We are looking to hire two students to work on this internship assignment. As an intern in our team, you will be contributing to our data and analysis infrastructure to get the most out of the available data sources. Your tasks may include:

  • Automation of data sources and reporting: contribute to and extend the infrastructure in Databricks to create a data pipeline generating useful data sets for in-depth analyses and overviews; additionally, link together data from the NXE machines and internal enterprise data.
  • Data analysis: the above mentioned data infrastructure can be used as a powerful tool to gain insights in customer behavior, and to test the availability impact and effectiveness of proposed improvements.
  • Dashboarding: create insightful overviews of linked data and present these to internal stakeholders.

Through these activities, this internship offers a unique opportunity to learn how NXE systems are used by our customers and contribute to creating more value. As part of the NXE Availability team, you will help in steering the organization in the right direction in terms of availability improvements. As an intern, you will gain in-depth knowledge on the topic and improve your existing skills in data analytics in an industrial environment.

Your Profile

To be a fit for this assignment, you:

  • Are busy with your bachelor's or master's in Data Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or a similar study.
  • Have strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Have some experience in SQL, Databricks, Python, PySpark, or the willingness to learn them.
  • Preferably have some familiarity with MATLAB or dashboarding tools like PowerBI.
  • Have good communication skills in English (verbal and written).

Other requirements you need to meet:

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship.
  • You are located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter includes the willingness to relocate.
  • If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
