Would you like to take a look behind the scenes of large platforms (including BigTech companies) and play an important role in ensuring a safer digital world? The Digital Services Act (DSA) and Digital Markets Act (DMA) are new European laws aimed at creating a safer digital space. KPMG offers you the chance to be a part of the teams that perform audits at the biggest platforms in the world.

Your challenges

  • Perform in-depth IT audits and assess whether platforms comply with the Disinformation Code and other obligations under the DSA;
  • Reinforce the digital infrastructure and data security of online platforms;
  • Guide clients through complex IT management challenges aimed at compliance with the DSA and mitigating the risks of disinformation;
  • Work in a dynamic team of experts in the field of IT, compliance and legislation and contribute to the online safety of millions of users;
  • Continuously stay abreast of the latest developments in European legislation and technologies and apply this knowledge in your everyday work;
  • Guide and coach consultants, allowing them to develop their skills and knowledge and contribute to successful projects;
  • Work on exciting projects abroad, where you will get to encounter different cultures and interact with international teams;
  • Perform detailed risk assessments and advise clients on mitigating risks associated with disinformation and other obligations relating to trust and safety.

This is what you bring

  • You have completed a bachelor’s or master's degree program, preferably in IT, Information Sciences, Business Administration or Economics.
  • You have 2 to 5 years of relevant experience as an IT auditor, consultant, financial auditor or in a similar position where you were involved in risk management or compliance audits.
  • You have a strong interest in digital security and online platforms.
  • You hold a CISA qualification or an RE or RA title, or you have demonstrable experience with, or an interest in, the IT audit field.
  • You have excellent communication skills in Dutch and English, and you are able to report clearly on complex IT topics.
  • You are a proactive person with a critical and analytical mindset, have a strong social commitment and a passion for the digital world.

What will you do?

As part of the IT Assurance team, you will be helping large online platforms perform audits and assessments, with the purpose of supporting them in complying with DSA legislation. You ensure that companies manage their risks regarding disinformation, content moderation and data security and safeguard transparency to users.

You will focus specifically on compliance audit at large online platforms (and related advisory engagements), helping them to meet the requirements of new European legislation.
