Automation Engineer

As an Automation Engineer, you will manage entire projects from start to finish: gathering project requirements, designing solutions, refining your designs, preparing documentation, and coordinating with technicians for installation. You will also contribute to quality improvement processes and tooling enhancements. You will work in a small, professional team, balancing independent and collaborative work.

Your responsibilities:

• Designing conning and alarm systems using various SCADA packages;
• Designing and programming PLC operating systems;
• Preparing required documentation (schematics, design and test plans);
• Transferring created equipment to field service;
• Managing automation projects on board ships.

For this position, we ask of you:

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering;
• Knowledge of and experience with PLC programming (WAGO/CoDeSys), in IL and ST code and ladder diagram;
• Ability to translate drawings into functional specifications and working SCADA/PLC software;
• Knowledge of SCADA/HMI applications; knowledge of Citect is an advantage;
• Willingness to learn new SCADA software (Lynx) and contribute to its improvement;
• Enjoy both teamwork and independent project work;
• Clear communication in Dutch and English;
• Eligibility to work in the Netherlands.
