As a Senior Project Lead Value Proposition Creation (VPC) & Advanced Development (AD), you will lead front-end innovation projects within Grooming & Beauty — a unique opportunity to shape the future of Philips personal health products. The projects might be ambiguous in the beginning, requiring you to bring clarity and direction to deliver meaningful results. You will play a pivotal role in translating consumer insights and business ambitions into validated propositions and functional solutions. You will ensure seamless integration between Value Proposition Creation (VPC) and Advanced Development (AD), applying Waterfall and Agile methodologies to accelerate learning and delivery.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead multidisciplinary VPC, AD and Agile teams from consumer insight to concept creation and function-proven solutions.
  • Translate consumer insights and market analysis into superior, evidence-based propositions.
  • Drive technical development by collaborating closely with engineers to define, design, and validate new features, ensuring feasibility, system integration, and performance verification through iterative testing and prototyping.
  • Develop integrated project plans, including objectives, scope, budget, and resources across all relevant functions (Marketing, R&D, Design, Supply, and Procurement).
  • Apply Waterfall, Agile and Lean methodologies to enable adaptive planning, cross-functional collaboration, and transparency throughout the innovation process.
  • Map and manage stakeholders across the organization, ensuring alignment through tailored communication plans and transparent reporting of project progress, results, and risks during key review meetings.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks, developing mitigation actions to keep projects on track with agreed timelines, budgets, and scope.
  • Collaborate with the FEI PMO Group to strengthen project management capabilities, and continuously enhance tools, methods, and best practices.

Your team

You will join the PMO department at the Philips Innovation Site in Drachten, as part of the Grooming & Beauty Front End Innovation group. This team consists of experienced project leads managing global VPC and AD projects. You will work closely with functions such as Marketing, R&D, Design, and Procurement, ensuring end-to-end collaboration and learning across the product development process.

You're the right fit if you have:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Innovation Management, Engineering, or a closely related field that supports project and innovation leadership.
  • 5+ years of experience leading multi-disciplinary projects — ideally in consumer product development or technology-driven innovation.
  • Proven experience with Value Proposition Creation and development of new technologies projects (Advanced Development).
  • Knowledge and experience of Waterfall and Agile project management and a track record of applying Lean and iterative delivery methods.
  • Certification in PMI/PMBOK, SAFe Agile, or Philips methodologies such as DfSS, PDLM is a plus.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills in English; Dutch is beneficial.
  • A proactive, collaborative, and results-driven mindset, with the ability to lead teams through ambiguity toward clear outcomes.
