KLM Corporate Control is seeking a new MI/BI Specialist to join the Finance Decision Support department. This position offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of Finance and IT, utilizing the latest EPM technologies. The successful candidate will serve as a key liaison between Finance teams across the organization and the OneStream EPM platform.

What will you do?

As a team member of the central OneStream Center of Excellence (CoE), you will focus on the continuous development and optimization of the OneStream EPM platform. This platform is the key tool-kit for the KLM finance business analysts and business controllers and covers different functionalities, like automated budgeting, forecasting, people planning, cost allocation to products (e.g. routes), and scenario analysis. The OneStream platform aims to be the one-stop shop for everything related to Finance Planning & Analysis (FP&A) and performance management. The platform is currently fully live, with the CoE focusing on live support, enhancement development, and executing the long-term roadmap. Being part of the team means you are focusing on:

  • Understanding the needs of the business and translating this to OneStream solutions, defining priorities (demand management);
  • Designing and creating OneStream functionality and enhancements (e.g. automatic driver-based planning, scenario functionalities) for the different KLM departments;
  • Developing reporting templates and dashboards, presenting findings to stakeholders, and staying updated on industry trends and regulatory requirements;
  • Analyzing existing and new planning processes, cost allocation methods, and scenario analysis in order to simplify these processes or improve them by means of automation and digitization;
  • Creating as much as possible standard formats for e.g. budget and planning input;
  • Organizing regular meetings with representatives of the business to find new opportunities and process improvement;
  • Training business users to become experts in the platform and functionality;
  • Coordinating the efforts of our 3rd party support center in Manila;

The EPM Center of Excellence is part of the FDS department. This department is the center of Finance data, data management, and data consumption. The department consists of various teams that offer the full spectrum of decision-support; from data governance/management to data storage and data consumption. The department hosts a rich variety of functions and people and is a perfect place for finance and data professionals to develop themselves and their careers.

Your profile

You have an entrepreneurial spirit, you are proactive and take responsibilities. You are good at making connections and bringing people together. You are process oriented and have a strong urge for optimization. Also, you have:

  • HBO or academic diploma in the field of finance or business
  • 2+ years of work experience in Finance and/or Enterprise Performance Management processes
  • Experience with any EPM platforms is a plus, willingness to learn a must
  • A good understanding of English
