Junior Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst

As our new Junior Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst, you are responsible for gathering information and authoring in-depth reports on threats relevant to the organization. You will also assist in optimizing and implementing innovative Cyber Threat Intelligence processes, supporting tools, and integrations.

About Ahold Delhaize

We’re Ahold Delhaize, one of the world’s largest food retail groups and a leader in both supermarkets and e-commerce. Together with our 17 strong local retail brands in the United States, Europe, and Indonesia, we make a meaningful difference in the lives of our brands’ customers, our people, and the world around us. We offer a highly dynamic, international work environment in which our associates thrive.

Your new work environment

The Cyber Defense team at Ahold Delhaize plays a central role in protecting our global operations from cyber threats. Within this team, the Fusion Cell serves as the coordination hub—integrating intelligence, incident response, and operational reporting to drive effective action and informed decision-making. We partner closely with IT and business stakeholders to reduce risk, enhance resilience, and ensure secure business operations. Through collaboration, data-driven insights, and executive reporting, the Fusion Cell helps align cybersecurity activities across the enterprise while enabling continuous improvement.

You will be given the freedom and responsibility to take ownership of your work and broaden your horizons by working together with knowledgeable colleagues from different countries who have an abundance of expertise in many areas. We will continually invest in you and help you build on your talents and skills for the future.

Key responsibilities of your role

As a cyber threat intelligence analyst and part of the global cyber defense team, you will:

  • Author in-depth reports on threats relevant to the organization, including strategic threats, actors, and TTP
  • Be knowledgeable in the intelligence cycle and analytic methodologies
  • Have knowledge of the global threat landscape
  • Use threat tradecraft, tool experience, broad IT, networking, scripting capabilities to identify and ingest IOCs
  • Have knowledge of malware vectors
  • Merge technical indicators with the strategic threat picture to improve the detection logic and integrate intelligence
  • Develop use case hypothesis and serve as primary interface with vulnerability management team
  • Support innovations in the cyber threat intelligence team
  • Partner with IT to ensure timely and adequate implementations of cyber threat intelligence tools and processes
  • Stay up to date on the latest cybersecurity threats and trends
  • Closely collaborate with Group Cyber Security and external stakeholders to collect TI requirements and ensure relevant TI is shared to support GCS/IT/business decision making

Requirements

We think you’ll be best geared for success if you meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical training in Information Technology, Information Systems Security, Cyber security, or related field (master’s degree preferred)
  • Wants to join an enthusiastic and dynamic team of subject matter experts
  • Has 1-3 years of experience in the cybersecurity domains, preferably within the threat intelligence domain
  • Can translate technical topics to non-technical people
  • Is versed in various cyber security technologies
  • Have a proven desire to continue to learn and apply newly gained knowledge
  • Bring strong communication skills to the table
  • Is willing to travel
  • Is as caring, courageous and growth minded as your colleagues, and are happy to embrace and advocate the #daretocare philosophy
  • Accepts flexible work hours including periodically being on-call

Aside from these hard skills, we think you should also bring some much-valued soft skills to the table: an entrepreneurial mindset, outspoken communication skills and a proactive approach. In addition to these, a high level of creativity, empathy, and enthusiasm will take you far.

What’s in it for you?

Aside from what we ask of you in this role, we also have a great deal to offer you: plenty of growth opportunities and various cross-brand career options; flexible working hours; a hybrid working model (we ask you to spend at least 50% of your working time at the office); and the chance to drive meaningful change on a global scale. You can look forward to a good work-life balance, and the chance to work in an inclusive environment that wholeheartedly encourages growth and welcomes you just the way you are.

Plus:

  • A gross annual salary between €55K to €75K including holiday pay based on full-time employment plus bonus
  • A first-rate pension plan
  • 45 vacation days per year (25.5 vacation days + 19.5 paid-leave days)
