As a (Senior) Consultant Transmission and Distribution, you will assist transmission and distribution companies in the Netherlands and beyond with their planned network expansions and upgrades. You will work in a multidisciplinary team because combining process and technical expertise allows us to accelerate our clients' projects. You are driven to make an impact, realize projects, and passionate about connecting your technical expertise with other fields of knowledge.

To make the Netherlands more sustainable and achieve the goals of the Climate Agreement, we will need to significantly invest in our energy infrastructure. The electricity grid faces major challenges: we need to integrate a large volume of offshore wind energy into the grid, and the electrification of industry, heating, and transportation is already facing limitations today.

To solve these challenges, large-scale investments in electricity grids in the Netherlands and neighboring countries will be necessary. This will include network calculations, participation processes, permitting procedures, and extensive design and engineering activities. This requires significant technical expertise in areas such as electrical, civil, and mechanical engineering. To support clients in the Netherlands and beyond with these tasks, we are looking for Senior Consultants and Specialists with experience in planning, design, and operation of networks and their components.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing calculations for the design and sizing of electrical infrastructure components
• Supporting clients in drafting specifications for replacing, upgrading, and expanding electrical infrastructure
• Validating designs and ensuring the accuracy of detailed designs and execution
• Guiding clients in implementing systems, including monitoring and reporting on performance
• Assessing the technical condition of assets and working on Power Failure Investigations in case of malfunctions or emergencies
• Providing training to clients and helping educate colleagues
• Playing a central role in our Netherlands Transmission & Distribution team, providing guidance to help junior and mid-level colleagues develop
• Acting as a role model in your field internationally, also guiding our global Transmission & Distribution colleagues
• Working on projects both domestically and internationally
• Staying informed about the latest developments and trends in energy systems and sustainable energy and applying this knowledge to advise clients

What we are looking for:

• Significant work experience in the field of Transmission and Distribution, either with a network company or a service provider in this sector
• A completed technical bachelor's or master's degree in a field relevant to this sector
• Technical expertise in the planning, design, or operation of networks and their components
• Strong command of the English language is a must; Dutch proficiency is a plus
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to mentor and train younger colleagues
• An extensive and relevant network in the energy transition field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Leadership capabilities and experience managing technical project teams
• A strong focus on quality, safety, and sustainability
• A proactive and results-oriented attitude
