At HelloFresh, we want to change the way people eat forever by offering our customers high-quality food and recipes for different meal occasions. Over the past 10 years, we've seen this mission spread around the world and beyond our wildest dreams. Now, we are a global food solutions group and the world's leading meal kit company, active in 18 countries across 3 continents. The HelloFresh Group now includes our core brand, HelloFresh, as well as: Green Chef, EveryPlate, Chefs Plate, Factor_, and Youfoodz.

For our ambitious, fast-growing team in Bleiswijk, we are looking for an OpEx Engineer. Working in the Operational Excellence team, you will take a leading role in improving our operations. As an Operational Excellence Engineer, you are responsible for identifying improvements within Production (end to end). You play a key role in elevating our current operations to another level—lower cost, better productivity, and quality—and support the implementation of the operational culture and roadmap.

You will constantly and proactively highlight losses in productivity, cost, quality, or risk to safety, and propose solutions based on thorough analysis of cause and effect. You will help teams conduct root cause analysis when recurring issues arise and support them in implementing long-term solutions. You are part of a bigger team that regroups OpEx engineers from three markets (the so-called conventional cluster), and together we aim to standardize and harmonize processes.

Above all, we are looking for people who will make HelloFresh better. We believe there are many different ways of developing skills and we love diverse experiences! So even if you don’t “tick all the boxes” but think you’d thrive in this role, we would really like to learn more about you.

What you’ll do

  • Process Improvement & Efficiency: Continuously evaluate and improve operational systems and processes to boost efficiency, quality, and reduce waste and costs.
  • Lean & Problem-Solving Tools: Implement lean methodologies and structured problem-solving tools like DMAIC, 5 Why’s, and Cause & Effect diagrams.
  • Project Leadership: Identify, lead, and execute improvement projects aligned with business strategies, ensuring successful rollout and adoption.
  • Collaboration & Change Management: Work closely with cross-functional teams, acting as a change agent to drive a culture of operational excellence and standardization.
  • Standardization & Visual Management: Develop and implement standard work procedures, visual factory tools, and error-proofing mechanisms to support process harmonization across the cluster.

You have…

  • 3+ years of experience in production or logistics, with a strong focus on high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Proven track record in production optimization, continuous improvement, and launching new processes.
  • Strong analytical and hands-on problem-solving skills; confident in coaching and implementing Lean/Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt is a plus).
  • Solid knowledge of SOPs, lean principles (e.g., Toyota Production System), and process adherence.
  • Effective leadership and influencing skills, capable of engaging all levels from shop floor to senior management.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are a plus.

This is our recipe

  • Freedom to initiate, execute and implement your own ideas
  • The opportunity to engage and collaborate with our colleagues across the globe
  • Learning and development opportunities including a personal development budget
  • 24 holidays per year, plus 1 day per additional year of work
  • Need more holidays? We offer the possibility to purchase some extra holiday days
  • A hybrid work setup, with a 250 Euro budget to help set up your home office
  • Reimbursement of travel expenses to the office
  • A discount on your weekly HelloFresh and/or Factor_ box
  • Our FreshEnergy program including a Headspace subscription, a collaboration with OpenUp for your mental wellbeing, webinars and other events
  • Multiple ways of getting to a work-related appointment, for example by using our company cars or a MyWheels car
  • We offer 100% paid partner parental leave (up to 5 weeks) if your partner has a new born
  • Discount on your ClassPass subscription, and a discount for your gym membership via Bedrijfsfitness Nederland
  • Access to GoodHabitz with hundreds of resources for your learning & development
  • Discount on your additional health insurance through Zilveren Kruis
  • Healthy lunches, fruit and snacks in the office
  • Monthly pension scheme
