In this role, you will be joining the newly formed Upstream Packaging Sourcing Category as Upstream Pack Sourcing Intern. The objective of the internship is to support the creation of a long-term strategy for upstream materials by:

  • Interacting with category managers, suppliers, consultants, and Heineken colleagues in the Netherlands and in many countries to gain a full understanding of packaging Tier 1/Tier 2/Tier 3 supply
  • Helping maximize breweries' packaging waste by connecting Heineken process waste into a closed loop
  • Supporting upstream analysis to help identify cost and carbon reduction in our supply chain

Conditions of HEINEKEN

  1. You are enrolled at an educational institution for the entire duration of your internship and can provide proof of enrollment for the current academic year during your onboarding.
    1. If you have non-EU nationality, you must be registered as an intern with a Dutch educational institution.
    2. If you have EU nationality, you may also be registered as an intern at educational institutions outside the EU.
  2. You reside in the Netherlands for the entire duration of your internship. Please note that HEINEKEN does not provide housing.

Our Internship Conditions

During your time as an intern at HEINEKEN, you’ll work in a dynamic environment where growing and learning are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we brew your future step by step. In addition, we offer you:

  • A full-time practice-oriented/theoretical research internship, starting on February 1, 2026
  • The duration of the internship is 5 or 6 months (to be agreed upon with your internship supervisor)
  • Your home office will be located in Schiphol
  • At HEINEKEN, we work with a hybrid model, typically spending three days a week at the office and two days working from home
  • You will receive a monthly internship allowance of €650 gross based on a 40-hour workweek
  • You will earn 2 vacation days per month (based on a full-time internship)
  • If you do not have a public transport student subscription, your commuting costs will be fully reimbursed
