As part of the Process Development team of the Micro Devices Group of Philips Innovation Engineering, with locations at the High-Tech Campus and at Strijp-S, both in Eindhoven, we collaborate directly with our customer’s product development teams. Our international customers range from small start-ups to well-established industry leaders in the medical and other high-tech industries.
Your role:
- Review the analysis of complex engineering requirements to design pioneering micro mechanical, electrical, and optical assembly solutions for advanced medical device components, leveraging profound technical expertise and strategic foresight.
- Develop and execute effective verification and validation plans and protocols, ensuring rigorous validation of high-stakes engineering designs and absolute adherence to premier quality and regulatory standards.
- Maintain exhaustive and precise documentation of detailed design specifications, test outcomes, and validation protocols, ensuring impeccable compliance with industry regulations and Philips’ internal benchmarks.
- Resolve intricate and multi-layered technical challenges by employing expert problem-solving methodologies to mitigate critical issues and enhance system resilience.
- Evaluate and endorse high-impact components and technologies from premier external vendors and suppliers, ensuring alignment with Philips’ rigorous standards for quality, performance, and strategic objectives.
- Ensure unwavering compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and quality standards, cultivating an organizational culture centered on excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement.
- Present intricate technical findings, strategic design proposals, and comprehensive project updates to senior stakeholders and executive management, effectively communicating complex engineering concepts and their strategic impacts.
- Innovate and implement advanced engineering practices and methodologies, driving critical process enhancements to elevate efficiency, foster groundbreaking innovations, and expedite the time-to-market for new products.
- Network with key contacts outside your own area of expertise and maintain strategic partnerships with external and internal stakeholders.
You're the right fit if:
- You have obtained a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant technical domain (e.g., Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics), with a broad technological interest and knowledge.
- You have experience with relevant engineering software tools such as CAD, CAE, and Statistics. DfSS Green Belt certification is a plus, or you are willing to learn.
- You have a proven track record (over 5 years) in developing innovative products and/or assembly processes in multi-disciplinary development projects.
- You are analytically strong, creative in finding effective solutions, driven, and possess a can-do mentality combined with good business acumen; you are capable of understanding customer-specific business needs and aligning them with internal objectives.
