Be part of progress: Join the EUV Manufacturing Sequence Integration Department

The EUV Manufacturing Sequence Integration department develops series of hardware and software instructions (Sequences) for ASML EUV factory machine builds and repairs. With more than 100,000 parts, interconnecting modules, and various machine functions, it’s critical for Sequence Integrators to develop and maintain Sequences by taking into account safety, dependencies, resourcing, tooling, materials, and other prerequisites.

Your assignment

Our Manufacturing Sequence Team is looking for a fresh perspective! We're seeking a curious and innovative intern to help us see our processes from a new angle. As an intern in this role, you won't be performing our day-to-day tasks, but instead will act as an external observer, working closely with our team to analyze, question, and explore new ways to improve how we work. Your role within this group will offer you the chance to explore, experiment, and propose innovative alternatives to improve ASML's current management and industrialization of the manufacturing process.

This assignment also offers the opportunity and freedom to explore process automation within a complex industrial environment, equipping you with valuable insights into quality and manufacturing process management.

This is a bachelor thesis or a master apprentice internship (to gain work experience) for a duration of 6 months. The start date is at the beginning of 2026.

Your profile

  • Background in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, Processes or Logistics Engineering
  • Interest in software automation, basic programming, and operational excellence
  • Knowledge of Python and Microsoft Excel
  • Structured with an ability to plan and set priorities
  • Comfortable thinking outside the box and coming up with creative solutions
  • Independent and not afraid to explore in an unstructured environment
  • Strong communicator, who likes to take initiative and has a team player attitude

Other requirements you need to meet

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship
  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. If you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter should include your willingness to relocate
  • If you are a non-EU citizen studying in the Netherlands, your university must be willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement)

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
