Be part of progress: Join Our Software Integration Team as an Intern

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our Software Integration team. In this role, you will assist in migrating existing Bamboo build plans to Bamboo Specs using YAML, streamlining our CI/CD processes. This internship offers an opportunity to work with modern DevOps tools, collaborate with experienced engineers, and develop valuable technical skills in a real-world setting.

Your assignment

  • Gather requirements from stakeholders to analyze and document existing Bamboo build plans.
  • Convert Bamboo build plans into Bamboo Specs using YAML configuration files.
  • Test and validate migrated build plans to ensure functionality and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to build plan migrations.
  • Contribute to process improvements and documentation for future migrations.

This is a bachelor/master internship or bachelor thesis internship for 3-5 days a week, with a duration of minimum 4-6 months. The start date of this internship is flexible.

Your profile

To be a good fit for this internship, you preferably:

  • Are currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Have exposure to Bamboo or other CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
  • Have a basic understanding of CI/CD concepts and build automation.
  • Have proficiency in Git for version control and source code management (SCM).
  • Have experience with Python for scripting and automation tasks.
  • Have familiarity with PowerShell for Windows-based scripting and system administration.
  • Have strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Have the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Nice to haves:

  • Previous experience with YAML or similar configuration languages.
  • Knowledge of the Atlassian Tool Suite (e.g., Bamboo, Jira, Bitbucket).
  • Interest in DevOps practices and software development lifecycle.

Other requirements you need to meet:

  • You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship.
  • You need to be located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. If you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter should include the willingness to relocate.
  • If you are a non-EU citizen studying in the Netherlands, your university must be willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
