Team: Table Sauces (Tomato Ketchup, Mayonnaise and Condiments)

The position of R&D Technologist Intern in Table Sauces is part of the EU R&D team based in the Innovation Centre in Nijmegen.

Basic Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills and fluency in English, both written and verbal (Dutch is not a requirement except CTI, but other languages are a plus).
  • EU Students: Must be enrolled at a Dutch university for at least 50% of the duration of the internship.
  • Non-EU Students: Must be enrolled at a Dutch university for the entire duration of the internship.
  • NOTE: EU working rights are required (Either you have EU Citizenship, you are studying in the Netherlands, or have a relevant student work visa)

Assignment and Key Activities:

  • Assist in the development and optimization of new and existing products, ensuring they meet quality and safety standards.
  • Conduct kitchen and pilot experiments, including formulation, ingredient testing, and product analysis.
  • Support sensory evaluation processes, including the preparation and presentation of samples.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance, to ensure successful product launches.
  • Document and analyze experimental data, providing insights and recommendations for product launches and improvements.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas for new products and process improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

Specific Team Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master’s student in Food Science, Technology, Engineering, or Natural Sciences (Biology, Biotechnology, Chemistry).
  • Course or interest in business is a plus.
  • Course in data handling or statistics is required.
  • Self-starter and independent worker with good analytical skills, highly motivated, scientifically driven, hands-on, with a business mindset and strong communication skills.
  • Research and lab experience is a must.
