Job Purpose

As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Vendor Master Data SME (Subject Matter Expert) to oversee the end-to-end process, build and implementation during our SAP S4/HANA (ERP) implementation and mid-term digital procurement strategy. This critical role involves scoping, cleansing, managing, maintaining, and enriching the accuracy and integrity of vendor master data, ensuring compliance with standards and policies.

Key Responsibilities

All responsibilities are centered around Procurement’s procure-to-pay domains:

  • Data Scoping and Cleansing:
    • Develop scope of vendor records for migration, considering the contracting process and cleansing activities at the source
    • Deactivation of obsolete extensions
    • Deactivation of outdated records
    • Closure of long-standing open items
    • Enrichment of missing data (e.g., postal codes)
  • Data Governance & Quality:
    • Develop and enforce policies for vendor data
    • Monitor data quality, identify and resolve inconsistencies
    • Ensure data accuracy and completeness in key systems
    • Develop knowledge transfer with GBS function
  • Vendor Onboarding & Maintenance:
    • Oversee the creation and ongoing maintenance of vendor master data
    • Collect required documentation (e.g., W-9s, TINs, responsible partner and SQA)
    • Enrich profiles with missing information
    • Develop knowledge transfer with GBS function
  • Data Integrity & Standardization:
    • Drive initiatives to centralize vendor data
    • Remove duplicates
    • Standardize processes for data management, enhancing the overall reliability of vendor information
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with IT, Finance, Procurement, GBS and other teams to implement and enhance data management tools and ERP systems
  • Process Improvement:
    • Participate in initiatives to improve and automate vendor master data processes, ensuring they align with company goals and regulatory standards

This role will exist in its current form until the end of 2027.

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management or a related field
  • Proven experience with SAP systems specific to procurement, preferably in the context of SAP S4/HANA and contingent workforce applications
  • Strong understanding of the Source to Pay process and procurement best practices
  • Broad understanding of procurement processes
  • Strong track record of driving change and innovation, with the ability to think outside the box and embrace an agile and growth mindset
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate, influence and engage effectively with diverse stakeholders across business and technical functions to achieve project milestones
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail-oriented, with the ability to translate business requirements into practical data solutions and drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent proficiency in written and verbal communication in English, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely to diverse stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office solutions, including SharePoint, Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to procurement
  • Result-oriented with a strong focus on delivering high-quality outcomes
  • Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel globally to support market-specific requirements during design, build and deployment of the project
