What you'll do

This is a high-impact leadership role where you will be instrumental in defining and executing the technology vision and roadmap for our Retail Banking solutions. You will be responsible for leading and scaling a diverse group of engineering teams, instilling a culture of engineering excellence to ensure we deliver robust, scalable, and secure digital banking products.

  • Drive the Technology Strategy: Define and execute the technology vision and roadmap for the Retail Banking Value Stream, ensuring it aligns with overall business goals and customer needs.
  • Lead and Mentor Teams: Manage, mentor, and develop Engineering Managers and their teams, fostering a high-performing, inclusive, and engaged engineering workforce.
  • Champion Engineering Excellence: Establish and promote best practices in software development, DevOps, and cloud-native architecture to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions.
  • Collaborate and Align: Work closely with Product, Design, and business teams to prioritize initiatives, manage dependencies, and ensure the timely delivery of high-value features.
  • Provide Technical Oversight: Guide the system architecture, tech stack evolution, and operational excellence to continuously enhance the performance, security, and reliability of our platform.
  • Drive Innovation: Promote a culture of technical experimentation, continuous improvement, and the adoption of modern engineering practices within the Value Stream.

Who you are

We are looking for a highly seasoned and inspiring Engineering Leader who can blend strategic vision with hands-on technical guidance. You should be passionate about building world-class digital experiences and have a strong track record of leading and scaling engineering teams in a fast-paced environment, ideally within the financial technology sector.

  • Proven Leadership Experience: 10+ years in software engineering, with at least 5 years in leadership roles overseeing multiple teams or an entire Value Stream.
  • Technical Architecture Expertise: Strong knowledge of modern cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, or GCP), microservices, API development, and contemporary development frameworks.
  • Banking Domain Knowledge: Proven track record of leading engineering teams in banking, fintech, or financial services, with a solid understanding of retail banking products and regulatory requirements.
  • Mastery of Agile/DevOps: Extensive experience operating in an Agile environment, with a strong commitment to CI/CD pipelines, automation, and operational best practices.
  • Strategic Communicator: Exceptional ability to collaborate with, influence, and communicate complex technical concepts effectively to cross-functional stakeholders at all levels.
  • Growth Mindset: A proactive approach to problem-solving, decision-making, and resource optimization, with a focus on scaling technology and talent.
