Join Our Data Science Department as a (Senior) Machine Learning Engineer

We are seeking a technically skilled and passionate (Senior) Machine Learning Engineer to join our dynamic Data Science department at AUTO1 Group Technology. As part of our disruptive approach to the used car market, our team actively explores and implements the latest advancements in machine learning – including large-scale recommendation systems and transformer-based neural network models. We leverage cutting-edge technology to develop impactful Machine Learning (ML) and Analytics solutions that optimize our platforms and processes. Your new Role

• Design, implement, and maintain robust, reproducible, and containerized model training and inference pipelines—both batch and real-time—in close collaboration with Data Scientists, leveraging tools such as MLflow, SageMaker, and Feature Store.
• Translate business needs into ML solutions and engage in research and development to deliver fully-fledged services.
• Ensure ML services are modular, testable, and well-monitored from day one.
• Define and implement monitoring, observability, and alerting for ML production systems (detecting model drift, monitoring data quality, feature usage, and real-time performance).
• Contribute to internal Python libraries and platform tooling to accelerate experimentation, reproducibility, and deployment for all model teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and data scientists, fostering a culture of best practices in engineering.

Your Skills

• Experience in deploying, maintaining, and updating ML models in production and a minimum of 2 years proven practical experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or similar role.
• Hands-on experience with a range of machine learning techniques and the ability to identify the appropriate technique in different scenarios.
• Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure and services, such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, for the deployment and scaling of machine learning models.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, and specialized ML libraries (Sklearn, LightGBM, PyTorch, Tensorflow, etc.).
• Experience in CI/CD using Docker, Terraform, and Jenkins, and familiarity with monitoring, observability, and alerting systems for ML pipelines.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
