Working at Atlassian

Atlassians can choose where they work – whether in an office, from home, or a combination of the two. That way, Atlassians have more control over supporting their family, personal goals, and other priorities. We can hire people in any country where we have a legal entity.

About the Team:
We are the driving force behind the next generation of Machine Learning Engineering (MLE) features for Atlassian’s Customer Support Management (CSM) platform. Our team is responsible for both the CSM AI Agent and CSM Ticketing AI features, delivering innovative solutions that empower support teams and enhance customer experiences.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated P50 Software Engineer (Full Stack) to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in the end-to-end development and deployment of MLE-powered features for CSM. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, data scientists, and other engineers to deliver robust, scalable, and impactful solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design, development, and deployment of end-to-end MLE features for CSM, including both the CSM AI Agent and CSM Ticketing AI.
  • Build and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure full stack applications (front-end and back-end).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, architect solutions, and deliver high-quality features.
  • Assist with CI/CD pipelines, cloud deployments, and operational excellence for AI-driven services.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the stack, from infrastructure to user interface.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in software engineering and MLE.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in full stack software engineering, ideally in SaaS or AI/ML-driven products.
  • Proficiency in modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue) and back-end technologies (e.g., Node.js, Java, Python, Go).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Exposure to machine learning engineering, MLOps, or AI-powered product development is a strong plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $182,700 - $238,525

Zone B: $164,700 - $215,025

Zone C: $152,100 - $198,575

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
