At ParkBee, our mission is to give space back to the cities by creating a seamless experience for drivers with an interconnected European parking network. Our philosophy is to build distinctive products and services that enhance existing resources without generating new ones, all nurtured by an enduring empathy for drivers and partners. Joining ParkBee means you'll be part of a team that's driving change and making a difference in the world.

Role Overview

We are looking for a self-motivated, responsible, tech-driven developer to join our small but high-performing team. You'll contribute to our mobile and web applications, ensuring they're scalable, high-performing and a joy for users. With high ownership of the features you develop and the project you're working on, you'll play an instrumental role in designing and building cutting-edge solutions that revolutionise urban mobility and give space back to the city.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Build and enhance React-based web applications and contribute to React Native mobile development as we unify our tech stack
  • Collaborate daily with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, QA engineers and fellow developers to deliver high-quality features
  • Drive technical excellence by identifying opportunities for performance improvements, code quality enhancements, and user experience optimisations
  • Contribute to feature development with high ownership, from technical design through implementation and monitoring in production
  • Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies and contribute ideas to enhance our development processes
  • Drive the migration from our current Angular application to React while maintaining existing functionality during the transition period
  • Contribute to team culture through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and fostering best practices across the development team

What You Bring

  • 3+ years of Software Engineering experience
  • Strong expertise in React ecosystem (hooks, state management, testing, build tools)
  • Solid TypeScript skills with experience in type-safe application development
  • Problem-solving mindset with ability to spot opportunities and propose technical improvements
  • Excellent English communication skills for our collaborative, international environment
  • Angular experience or solid grasp of component-based architecture fundamentals
  • React Native experience is a valuable plus for our cross-platform mobile development
  • Additional framework experience (Vue, Ember, Flutter) demonstrates versatility and adaptability

What You'll Receive

We believe a career as an Associate Frontend Engineer at our company offers exponential growth and learning through an environment that promotes high ownership, accountability, and impact at every level. In addition, we offer a competitive reward package, including:

  • Attractive salary up to €78k dependent on experience
  • An annual allowance of €1,500 for learning and growth in your role
  • An initial contract of 12 months to be extended by mutual agreement
  • Numerous growth and development initiatives, training and projects
  • Access to professional mental health support with OpenUp, ensuring you're supported both at work and in life
  • 25 days holiday plus additional leave schemes
  • Daily fresh lunch in the office (we're primarily an in-person company with home working flexibility)
  • Easy commute with an NS business card, mileage reimbursement, and access to shared cars when needed
  • A generous employer pension scheme and additional long term performance based incentives linked to the success of ParkBee and your contribution.

If you are ready to make a significant impact in the role of Associate Frontend Engineer, we'd love to hear from you!
