Join Tony’s Chocolonely on a Mission to End Exploitation in Cocoa

Why we are here

Tony’s Chocolonely is on a mission to end exploitation in cocoa. We don’t just make impact - we build the tools, insights, and partnerships that help our entire value chain make better decisions. As part of our FBI (Finance, Business Planning & Performance and BI) team, you’ll help drive data-led decisions that touch everything from bean to bar.

What you will do

We’re looking for a Senior BI Developer to strengthen our growing data team. In this role, you sit right between technology and the business: translating needs into dashboards, helping teams steer with data, and building a solid foundation for reporting across Tony’s.

You’ll own the front-end (self-service and PowerBI dashboards) of our BI landscape and collaborate closely with our Sr. Data Engineer to bring new data sources into our data warehouse. You will own the reporting landscape for Tony’s globally, working with stakeholders from Supply Chain to Sales to uncover insights, spark better decisions, and bring visibility to our performance. You’ll take charge of improving our dashboards and challenging existing structures to make them more scalable, insightful, and user-friendly. Longer-term, you’ll help shape how BI is used across Tony’s - simplifying complexity, improving self-service capabilities, and turning our data environment into a trusted source for actionable insights. You’ll be responsible for extending current training materials and delivering sessions that empower business stakeholders to confidently use data in their daily decision-making. In doing so, you’ll play a key role in improving the ‘why’ behind our numbers – like helping us understand the root causes behind our sales performance or how supply chain costs evolve.

With plenty of room for ownership, experimentation, and innovation, this role offers the opportunity to shape reporting at a company where decisions (and chocolate) matter.

All wrapped up

  • Own and develop impactful dashboards and reports that support smarter decisions across the business.
  • Ensure our semantic model is scalable, fast, and accurate - partnering with engineering and business stakeholders.
  • Translate business questions into data solutions and proactively propose improvements.
  • Collaborate with commercial and operational teams to improve their self-service analytics.
  • Maintain and improve BI documentation and training materials to boost adoption.
  • Contribute to the BI roadmap and bring in new ideas and technologies (hello Microsoft Fabric!).
  • Monitor data quality and report usage to ensure we deliver what really matters.

Job requirements

Our new flavor

  • 5+ years in BI development roles, preferably in scale-up or fast-paced environments.
  • Deep experience with PowerBI, DAX, and SQL.
  • Strong grasp of data modelling, semantic layers, and Azure Data Services (e.g. Analysis Services, Data Factory).
  • Experience working with supply chain, finance, or commercial teams.
  • Analytical mindset with a knack for translating abstract questions into concrete dashboards.
  • Thrives in ambiguity and brings clarity through structure.
  • You’re a collaborative builder who’s equally comfortable getting into the weeds and zooming out to see the bigger picture.

Our benefits (the icing on the cake)

At Tony’s you’ll get the opportunity to be part of something extraordinary; first and foremost, by making a real impact in the world, but also by enjoying the great benefits we provide as you help us succeed. We’re dedicated to enabling all Tonys to grow and develop their careers, which is why we offer training programs, regular feedback cycles, coaching and a generous learning & development budget.

We also make sure the basics are sweet: a yearly salary between €63,000 and €78,000 (including 8% holiday pay), a bonus scheme, pension plan and a minimum of 28 holidays. On top of that, you can look forward to a luxurious vegetarian lunch, inspirational team updates, unforgettable events and, of course, unlimited Tony’s chocolate.

Sounds like you?

Are you passionate about making a difference in the world? Look no further! If you're ready to take the chocolate industry to new heights with us, we'd love to hear from you! Please send your direct application, no agencies. We can't wait to hear from you!
