About the Role

You will be part of Intellectual Property & Standards, a Philips business that optimizes IP assets and provides counselling to support innovation and new business opportunities – for Philips and others. You will join the “Digital Standardization & Licensing Research” department with presence in The Netherlands and the US. Within this group, we provide technology options for innovations in both the professional health and well-being as the consumer domain. We actively contribute to the creation of consumer and industry standards, and we further mature ideas and technologies in close collaboration with internal and external partners.

With this vacancy, we intend to strengthen our video team in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. You will be part of our research team of video experts.

Your profile

  • BSc or MSc degree in Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering (Software, Computer, Electrical, Electronics/Communications, etc.)
  • Experienced software developer with experience in video algorithm development and implementation
  • Native knowledge of Python and C++; able to transfer algorithms to modular software in C++
  • Experience with video processing tools such as GStreamer, and software development tools such as CMake/Ninja and CI/CD
  • Knowledge of neural network optimization frameworks for CPU/GPU such as ONNX and TensorRT
  • Good understanding of state-of-the-art video architectures, ranging from mobile, on-premise, and cloud processing (experience with AWS)
  • Affinity with building and testing end-to-end systems that involve edge/cloud compute and camera hardware
  • Experience or affinity with neural network deployment and training
  • Affinity with neural network optimization strategies
  • Experience in supporting video standardization

How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week, with a preference for up to 5 days.
