Purpose

As Project Manager, you are accountable for the design, construction, installation, and start-up activities of FPSO units. This requires extensive project management expertise, technical knowledge, and coordination skills to ensure successful project delivery within scope, budget, and schedule constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of FPSO projects from conception through to commissioning and operation.
  • Manage the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets, and oversee resource allocation to meet project objectives.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and operations teams to ensure integration and alignment of project activities.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project targets are met.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and company policies.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders, including clients, contractors, regulatory bodies, and internal teams, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Deliver project status reports, including performance metrics, financial updates, and risk assessments to Senior Management.
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).

Experience

  • Significant experience in managing FPSO projects or similar large-scale complex projects with multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines.
  • Deep understanding of FPSO design, construction, and operation.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
  • Strong leadership and a collaborative approach, with the ability to lead and inspire multidisciplinary and multicultural teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.

SBM Offshore provides floating production solutions to the offshore energy industry, over the full product life-cycle. The Company is market leading in leased floating production systems with multiple units currently in operation and has unrivalled operational experience in this field. The Company’s main activities are the design, supply, installation, operation and the life extension of Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels. These are either owned and operated by SBM Offshore and leased to its clients or supplied on a turnkey sale basis.
