Introduction to the job

We are looking for a talented and passionate Test Engineer to join our team. This could be your next job—so if you're excited about quality, collaboration, and impact, we encourage you to apply!

As a Test Engineer, you will contribute to the qualification of our Virtual Compute Platform (VCP) by creating and maintaining test specifications, supporting the team in executing tests, and ensuring traceability from requirements to results. You’ll work closely with architects and development teams, perform fault slip-through analysis, and help drive quality sign-off for team deliverables. You will co-develop the test approach with your team, create and execute automated tests across the product stack, and contribute to continuous improvement in test practices.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Work within the Virtual Compute Platform (VCP) teams, developing a platform to host compute and analytics applications that improve yield in semiconductor factories worldwide.
  • Support applications that process data from ASML equipment for real-time production corrections and equipment process diagnostics.
  • Ensure high reliability, as platform failure can significantly impact customer production facilities, including those of major clients such as TSMC, Samsung, and Intel.

Education and Experience

  • MSc in Computer Science or Information Technology, or BSc in these fields with at least 5 years of relevant work experience focused on test engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with test tools and methodologies.
  • Software development background (preferably in platform engineering) and familiarity with Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) is considered a plus.
  • Solid understanding of Agile development practices, ISTQB Foundation required; advanced levels are highly valued.
  • Experience creating and maintaining Test Performance Specifications (TPS) and Test Analysis Reports (TAR).
  • Skilled in fault slip-through analysis (FSA) and root cause investigation for system and field issues.
  • Comfortable participating in code reviews to assess component test coverage.
  • Able to align test activities with domain-level test strategies and collaborate with architects, product owners, and customer support.
  • Proven experience in managing and executing test automation using CI/CD pipelines and Pytest frameworks.
  • Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture (pods, services, deployments, etc.), experience with Helm, Operators, and Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs), and familiarity with Kubernetes networking, storage, security, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Proficiency with tools like Terraform and Ansible, experience automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration, and integrating Kubernetes into automated testing workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Skills

  • Communicates product impact clearly to stakeholders.
  • Collaborates closely with Engineers, Architects, and ART leadership.
  • Identifies and addresses quality and integration risks.
  • Supports continuous improvement in test practices and tooling.
  • Demonstrates ownership of team-level quality and test execution.
  • Applies structured thinking to fault analysis and test coverage.
  • Coaches peers and promotes quality best practices within the team.
