What you will do

In this versatile role, you will be jointly responsible for the activities within the family office. Your work will primarily focus on supervising and monitoring all financial and fiscal matters outsourced (or to be outsourced) to external parties. This creates room for our in-house team to focus on innovative and successful improvements that guarantee the future of the family office. You will work in a team where initiative and individual strengths are valued. Together, we ensure that our work is carried out at a high level with attention to communication, professionalism, and decisiveness. At all times, the interests of all shareholders are central.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Monitoring, safeguarding, and optimizing the financial and fiscal interests of the shareholders (including risk management and acting as the primary contact for external accountants and, when needed, tax advisors).
• Acting as the point of contact and overseeing external (accounting) firms that manage the administration of our companies.
• Acting as the point of contact for internal finance employees.
• Supervising and reviewing consolidated financial reports, including the preparation of annual accounts.
• Acting as a sparring partner with shareholders and management of portfolio companies in preparing and monitoring budgets and forecasts to achieve financial goals.
• Supervising and reviewing liquidity management.
• Responding to ad-hoc information requests from shareholders.

What we are looking for

Professionalism

• A completed academic degree in finance, economics, or a related field, with at least 7 years of relevant experience in a senior controller role.
• Interest in fiscal matters relevant to a single family office structure, e.g., estate planning. Experience is a strong plus.
• Follows developments in AI, is interested in applying them, and implements them where possible to optimize processes.
• Risk management should not be unfamiliar territory.

Communication

• Proactive in communication and convincing in delivering information.
• Accurate, analytical, and able to uncover the story behind the numbers.
• Fluent in both Dutch and English, spoken and written.
