For Yamaha Motor Europe N.V., located at Schiphol-Rijk in the Netherlands, we are looking for a full-time Senior Business Pricing Coordinator in our Parts & Accessories Division.

About the role

In this role you will establish and maintain a central Parts and Accessories price system for all segments and new models based on ‘perceived price value’ and ‘market conform pricing’, which fits in the Parts and Accessories Business Planning policy and strategy. This is to secure competitiveness in the market and ensure proper profitability and margin setting within our group. You will run the yearly price revision, define the proper price setting for new Parts and Accessories and promotions, establish the required business intelligence, and provide a solid information base for management decision making related to budget and midterm plan guidelines.

Principal responsibilities:

  • Define, implement, and maintain the price setting of new & existing parts within the segments Captive, Non Captive & Sensitive;
  • Define and provide input for market studies, in line with the Parts & Accessories Business planning policy, strategy, and budget;
  • Define and run the yearly price revision in line with the Parts & Accessories Business planning policy, strategy, and budget;
  • Investigate, obtain, analyze, and provide P&A business intelligence in close consultation with the Department Manager;
  • Define and create monitoring & analysing tools in close consultation with management;
  • Devise and define monthly reports and ad hoc reports for Senior Management, in consultation with the managers;
  • Initiate and participate in occasional short and medium term projects on behalf of the Business Planning group or Parts & Accessories Division.

What do you bring?

  • A Master’s degree in a quantitative or technical field;
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in pricing analytics or a similar analytical field;
  • Proven proficiency in advanced analytics tools (e.g. Excel, Access, SQL, Cognos, Pyramid);
  • Sharp analytical mindset and talent for turning numbers into implementable proposals;
  • Ability to analyze and understand market conditions, consumer behavior, economic factors, and their relation to pricing decisions;
  • High understanding of price elasticity, and good ability to assess the impact of price changes;
  • Good understanding of various pricing strategies, and the ability to link different situations with the most fitting strategy;
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in pricing formulas, calculations, and system logic;
  • Excellent communication skills in English; another European language is a plus.
