Role and responsibilities

You are an excellent people manager in an Agile/SAFe world with knowledge of Delivery processes (especially Logistics, Custom & Trade, and Freight). You are keen on developing and coaching individuals to become valuable members of high-performing teams. You have a good understanding of the various expertise involved in building and maintaining IT solutions in a global organization. As a member of the management team, you will closely collaborate with the leading coalition of the Agile Release Train (ART) within the IT Solution Delivery Operation Strategic Sourcing & Procurement and Planning & Delivery department (SS&P-P&D). Each ART has a leading coalition, consisting of a release train engineer (RTE), chief product owner (CPO), and the system architect (SA). You collaborate intensively with the leading coalitions of the ARTs to balance development with delivery. You have an intrinsic drive towards continuous improvement. As a manager, you will also be responsible for budgeting, working with suppliers, and areas of general interest to your team.

  • Identify staffing needs within the ART based on the required competencies, in collaboration with your leading coalition of the ART.
  • Develop and implement the People and Sourcing Strategy, including best & right shoring plus partner model.
  • Support your internal employees with their personal and professional development as well as providing career coaching to your employees.

Education and experience

Acting in a group lead role at ASML requires a good mix between excellent soft skills and proven experience, having acted in relevant positions in similar, global companies. You are naturally able to communicate across multiple layers within an organization and effectively deal with resistance from your (business) stakeholders. As we are working in a high-pressure environment, you are very well able to handle yourself (and your teams) in a similar environment. In this role, you are tasked to bring Agile (servant) leadership to the table and are a strong coach who is able to influence without power in both your teams and towards your stakeholders.

  • At least 5 years of experience building self-organizing teams in similar line-management positions.
  • Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • You have proven experience in relevant environments; it is key to understand our processes and domain.
  • Experience with managing vendors and external personnel as well as experience in managing internationally distributed teams.
