Operational Controlling Manager – Key Responsibilities and Profile
Your Tasks
- Act as a strategic business partner to the Benelux management team, ensuring transparency and control of operational performance across supply chain, stores, marketing, retail media, and sales.
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making, drive efficiency improvements, and lead key performance analysis, planning, and reporting processes in close collaboration with executive leadership.
Financial Planning & Performance Management
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and target-setting processes for Benelux operations.
- Ensure accurate phasing, allocations, and control across P&L areas.
- Develop robust financial models and templates for store and online channels.
- Translate financial results into actionable business insights.
Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management
- Act as financial partner for operational teams, providing data-driven support.
- Collaborate with international HQ (MSH) to align reporting standards.
- Prepare and present analyses to senior stakeholders and directors.
Reporting & Analysis
- Drive monthly closing, management reporting, and performance reviews.
- Monitor OPL and sales KPIs, ensuring transparency of variances.
- Build and optimize Power BI dashboards and SAP BO/Excel reporting tools.
- Deliver ad hoc analysis on profitability, efficiency, and growth opportunities.
Team Development & Process Improvement
- Coach and guide controllers to strengthen expertise and business understanding.
- Standardize and document reporting processes across Benelux.
- Lead operational controlling projects such as new store business plans and omnichannel KPIs.
Your Profile
- Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Business.
- 5+ years of experience in controlling or financial management.
- Strong analytical skills, business acumen, and stakeholder management.
- Proficiency in Excel, SAP BO/FICO, Power BI.
- Fluent English; strong presentation and communication skills.
- Leadership and coaching capabilities.
