We are hiring for this role in the Netherlands (HQ)

As a Senior Managing Consultant or Principal Energy & Industry, you will help grow a relevant business domain by connecting Magnus Energy’s expertise with industrial clients. You will focus on the challenges faced by industrial companies in the energy transition and translate our energy domain knowledge into value propositions and impactful projects. You will work closely with Maarten van Dijk and collaborate with a broader team that is highly motivated to add value to our clients.

You will coach and manage other consultants, helping them navigate through complex situations. You will leverage your existing network in the industrial and/or energy sector to initiate meetings and projects with relevant (potential) clients. You will work on knowledge creation, elaborate new insights, and present these to customers or at conferences. You know how to build a network and can identify new opportunities, which you develop further together with your colleagues.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • University Master's degree in a technical, science, or business direction with excellent grades
  • 8+ years of working experience in industry and/or energy, for example as an energy manager at an industrial company, energy trader, or sourcer
  • Relevant network in the (Dutch) industrial or energy domain
  • Consultancy experience is a valuable addition
  • Sharp analytical skills, including forward and creative thinking
  • Excellent commercial skills and ability to do consultative selling
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and strong organisational capabilities
  • Professional fluency in English (minimum C1) and preferably Dutch or another European language
  • Most importantly: a keen interest in the energy transition and a clear desire to contribute to robust and sustainable energy systems in Europe!
