What are you going to do?

As an application specialist at Quion, you are responsible for the management of applications used within Quion. You ensure that both existing and future applications run smoothly, supporting the ongoing success of the business. In this role, you work closely with both business and technical management, acting as a crucial link during live application issues and new developments. You are part of the Finance team, which consists of 7 colleagues.

In short, as an application specialist:

• You discuss change proposals with the business and, if necessary, with suppliers.
• You are jointly responsible for the quality and maintenance of our applications.
• You communicate frequently with users (business and other departments) about functionalities.
• You collaborate to manage and renew the applications for which you are responsible.
• You contribute to the vision and direction of the team.
• You implement new releases.
• You work towards a goal every sprint, driven to achieve it and creative in overcoming obstacles.

Job requirements

What do you need for this position?

Need-to-haves:

• HBO working and thinking level.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in functional management or similar positions.
• Fluent in Dutch and English with strong oral and written communication skills.
• Extensive IT knowledge, including ITIL, API, web services, SQL databases, and scripting languages such as Windows Command Script and PowerShell.
• Proven experience as an application specialist for one or more ERP applications.
• Independent ability to prioritize, take initiative, and work with teammates to achieve goals.
• Affinity for technical innovations such as Azure and cloud applications, and a drive for personal development and continuous learning.

Nice-to-haves:

• Knowledge of financial applications, with preference for knowledge in mortgage and financial processes.
• Knowledge of the financial services industry.
• Knowledge and experience with CODA and possibly other financial packages and/or banking systems.
