The role of Private Label Specialist focuses on analytical, strategic & creative projects. In this role, you will be responsible for developing Picnic products that bring a smile to your face :) You will manage the entire process of the development of our private label products from A to Z, from analysing range strategies to product tasting to international sourcing to design creations. Together with a passionate team, your goal will be to select the best products for the best prices and make sure that they have a stunning design. As a key part of the private label development team, you will work closely together with category managers, suppliers, buyers and our design agencies, so strong project management skills are key.

Tricks of the trade

  • Range analysis: Analyse range strategies.
  • Margin & pricing: Perform margin and pricing analyses.
  • Packaging evaluation: Evaluate packaging designs.
  • Tender processes: Drive (international) tender processes.
  • Stakeholder management: Manage various stakeholders, including suppliers, design agencies, and the supply chain.
  • Sustainable packaging: Research and develop sustainable packaging options.
  • Product creation: Create beautiful and affordable products designed for the home, not for the shelf.

Your superpowers

  • MSc. degree in Business Administration, (Business) Economics or equivalent
  • 1-3 years work experience in a commercial, analytical and/or product development role in the retail industry
  • Strong conceptual, project management and stakeholder management skills
  • Affinity with food, tasting & design
  • Versatile multitasker with a can-do attitude, work proactively and be able to switch between strategic and operational work
  • Persistence and enthusiastic mindset
  • Analytical mind but not afraid of getting creative
  • Fluency in English and Dutch
