As the Head of Internal Audit Benelux, reporting directly to the Regional CEO, you will be responsible for assessing and strengthening internal control systems, identifying high-risk areas, and recommending measures to enhance the company's risk situation, security, and efficiency. Your strategic insights will support the Board of Management in core activities, ensuring alignment with company goals, local regulatory requirements, and Group Audit standards. You will navigate changes in structures, processes, and reporting lines, increasing knowledge across different business lines and identifying new risk areas in a changing organizational environment.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a risk-oriented audit plan supporting company’s goals and strategy and aligned with Group Audit strategy.
• Ensure independent oversight and review of internal control systems and their effectiveness.
• Collaborate on inter-organizational projects and ensure quality assurance measures.
• Serve as a partner and advisor to the business, issuing recommendations on deficiencies with regards to the internal control system.
• Represent the company to external stakeholders and regulators, reporting on audit activities.
• Interact with external auditors and interface with Group Internal Audit to further develop the Group Audit Strategy.
• Manage and develop a high-performance audit team, fostering skill-building, talent rotation, and attracting new talents.

Your Profile

We are seeking a seasoned audit professional with relevant experience in internal/external audit or a comparable managerial role in insurance or financial services. You possess practical experience in team management, project management, and managing change. International work experience is advantageous. You hold a Master’s degree, with a qualification as Certified Internal Auditor being a plus. Fluency in the local language (French and/or Dutch) is mandatory, along with a proven command of English. Your skills include audit methodology, risk assessment, governance, and analytical capabilities. You excel in communication, influencing others, and managing people and projects.
