Introduction
The Source Laser Beam Delivery group is part of the Mechanical Development cluster, responsible for the design of different optical systems to guide the laser beam. Along the laser beam-path there are multiple optical systems that must adhere to tight tolerances to ensure precise positioning of the laser beam. One way to mitigate some of these tolerances is to have adjustable mechanisms that point the laser beam in the right direction.
Your assignment
Within ASML and the broader industry there are numerous precise tip/tilt adjustment mechanisms, however a comprehensive overview of all of the mechanisms, including advantages and disadvantages, is lacking. This gap forces designers to spend time re-evaluating.
The objective for this assignment is to research and document the most relevant adjustment tip/tilt mechanisms and to design and build a test setup for validation. The main deliverables for this internship are:

This is a fulltime graduation internship preferably for 9 to 12 months.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
