Karriere hos CGI

Stillingsbeskrivelse

Do you want to contribute to the future of European space infrastructure? As an Experienced DevOps Engineer within CGI’s Space unit, you will play a central role in enabling continuous delivery and operational excellence for some of Europe’s flagship programs, including Galileo, the global satellite navigation system.

At CGI, we value ownership, trust, and innovation. You will work in a multidisciplinary, international team, where your expertise in DevOps and SecDevOps practices will drive automation, reliability, and efficiency across the development and operations lifecycle. Acting as both a technical referent and release manager, you will ensure smooth integration, delivery, and deployment processes that meet the high standards required in mission-critical space systems.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable, efficient, and automated delivery of software solutions.
  • Act as Release Manager, overseeing planning, coordination, and execution of releases, ensuring minimal risk and smooth delivery.
  • Serve as a technical referent for DevOps practices, providing guidance and support to development and operations teams.
  • Implement and enforce SecDevOps principles, integrating security into the development lifecycle to ensure compliance and robustness.
  • Collaborate closely with architects, developers, testers, and system engineers to streamline workflows and remove delivery bottlenecks.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize build, integration, and deployment processes, ensuring high availability and system reliability.
  • Support and coach teams in the use of DevOps tools and methodologies, raising overall maturity within the organization.
  • Document processes, pipelines, and release practices, ensuring traceability and compliance with space industry standards.

What We’re Looking For

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, with proven achievements in creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Experience acting as a release manager or coordinating releases in complex, mission-critical environments.
  • Strong knowledge of automation, containerization, and orchestration tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, Terraform).
  • Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and incident management tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
  • Experience or knowledge in SecDevOps practices, embedding security into CI/CD pipelines and operational processes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to act as a technical referent within an international, cross-functional team.
  • Structured, proactive, and delivery-focused, with a strong sense of ownership

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in European space programs such as Galileo, Copernicus, or similar.
  • Familiarity with ECSS standards or mission-critical system lifecycles.
  • Certifications such as AWS/Azure DevOps Engineer, Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or SAFe DevOps Practitioner.
  • Previous collaboration with ESA, EUSPA, or other space industry stakeholders.

For this role all the work needs to be performed on-site at our CGI office with no hybrid working opportunities.

Please note that holding an EU passport is mandatory for obtaining an EU Personal Security Clearance, which is part of our selection process.

A pre-employment screening is part of our selection process.
