About Our Team

We have an opening for a position in our vibrant and collaborative Cell Press Multi-Journal Submission editorial team. Multi-Journal Submission is a unique submission model offered by Cell Press that allows for authors to be considered for multiple Cell Press journals in a single submission. Multi-Journal Submission editors have a unique opportunity to become familiar with multiple Cell Press family journals working across a broad range of topics in our life and medical science journals. For this role, we are seeking scientists with a research background in cancer and/or immunology fields.

About the Role

You will be supporting editors and authors to optimize overall publishing success and work on cross-journal projects and initiatives for Cell Press. This is a full-time role, and the hiring locations are the UK or Amsterdam.

Responsibilities

  • Assessing submitted research papers and guiding them through peer review;
  • Working collaboratively with Cell Press editors on handling of Multi-Journal Submission manuscripts;
  • Supporting authors through the process of peer review;
  • Establishing relationships with researchers who are publishing with our journals;
  • Building effective working relationships with colleagues across Cell Press and beyond.
  • Contributing to broader Cell Press initiatives to shape the future of science communication.

Requirements

  • Have a PhD in a relevant scientific or clinical discipline (life or medical sciences), with a research background in cancer and/or immunology;
  • Have broad scientific interests and a desire to learn;
  • Have great teamworking and communication skills and a collaborative problem-solving mindset;
  • Talent for distilling complex concepts and communicating them
  • Have an interest in digital communication and publishing trends;
  • Have an interest in engaging with the scientific community
  • Ability to work successfully in a diverse global team.
