If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Data Scientist to join the AI domain within the Life & Pension business unit of NN.

What you are going to do

As an experienced Data Scientist, you will play an important role in identifying and translating business challenges into innovative data science solutions. With your expertise in Python, statistics, machine learning, and large language models (LLMs), you will transform diverse data sources into actionable insights.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Building AI Solutions: Develop and deploy cutting-edge AI solutions using techniques such as AI as a service, LLMs, Cognitive Services, and OpenAI.
• Consulting and Optimization: Work closely with business colleagues to understand their needs and translate them into AI solutions. Identify opportunities to optimize business processes with AI.
• Coaching and Mentoring: Share your knowledge and experience by coaching junior colleagues, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
• Continuous Improvement: Act as the first point of contact for improving models in production, ensuring they continue to add value.

Who you are

You are a naturally curious individual with a passion for innovation and data-driven improvement. Your analytical insight and creative problem-solving skills enable you to tackle data science challenges effectively. You possess strong communication skills and an open attitude, fostering collaboration within the team and with colleagues within the business.

Additionally, you have:

• A master's degree in Data Science, Econometrics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Practical experience in developing ML applications in Python, covering all phases of the data science process, such as data collection, cleaning, model evaluation, and model implementation.
• Experience with (Azure) CI/CD tools, Git, and SQL.
• A bonus if you have experience in working with agents.
• At least three years of relevant work experience.
• Proficiency in the Dutch language. A good command of the Dutch language is required.

You will collaborate daily with a dedicated team working on specific business domains within the Pensions Department. As part of the AI team of Pensions, you will also engage with the broader Data & AI department, which includes colleagues from data management, data visualization, and advanced analytics & AI. Our department operates agilely, working closely with NN Life & Pension colleagues at all levels.

We value expertise sharing, customer-centric thinking, and maintaining high-quality data products. You'll have the freedom to manage your time independently, ensuring your work remains dynamic and engaging.
