Summary

As Global Buyer Indirect, you will be responsible for managing indirect procurement activities across Neways’ global operating companies. This includes commodities such as HR, facility management, technical goods and services, transport, and IT.

You will drive the execution of the global category strategy along with your colleagues from team Global Indirect Procurement. In this role, you will work closely with local procurement and supply chains teams, head office, and legal department.

You will be part of the Indirect Procurement Team. The position is based at Neways' Global Procurement office in Son, the Netherlands, and involves close collaboration with procurement departments across our international locations.

This is what you bring to the team

• At least 3 years’ experience in a tactical procurement role
• Affinity with meeting deadlines and achieving savings targets
• Excellent command of Dutch and English (spoken and written)
• Willingness to travel within Europe (approximately once per quarter)
• Driver license B
• You are equally comfortable acting as a sparring partner for local buyers as you are engaging with board-level stakeholders

Your daily responsibilities include:

• Implement and execute the global category strategy: Implement the sourcing strategy for your assigned commodities, with a strong focus on cost reduction and process optimization.
• Tactical sourcing of indirect goods and services: Specify, source, tender, select, and contract suppliers of indirect goods and services.
• Lead complex procurement projects: Manage procurement processes involving multiple stakeholders and suppliers.
• Category management: Monitor key performance indicators such as quality, logistics, compliance, sustainability, and cost savings within your commodities.
• Stakeholder engagement: Build and maintain a strong internal network and collaborate effectively with local buyers.
• Supplier relationship management: Drive supplier development initiatives, ensure contract compliance, and manage strategic supplier relationships.
