About the role

The DFX Finished Goods Lead is a pivotal role in executing the product strategy and leveraging suppliers’ product & platform opportunities. This role ensures that Design for X (e.g., cost, sustainability, quality, etc.) principles are translated into actionable product initiatives and innovative development, aligning with category strategy (product competitiveness) and business objectives (growth, profitability, quality).

The incumbent will work closely with Heads of Product Category, Head of Capabilities, Operations Teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive initiatives that allow proper execution of the product strategy (incl. make or buy to optimize external / internal resources) and overall product lifecycle governance.

The impact you’ll make:

  • Works with Product Category and Operations Teams to translate overall DFX ambitions into DFX Product initiatives and DFX Projects under the responsibility of the DFX Project manager in each product sub-category
  • Is accountable for the DFX Product Initiatives management and owns business impacts
  • Tracks and reports on overall progress KPIs, identifies gaps and product opportunities with Product Managers
  • Is accountable for a properly documented Purchasing Finished Goods strategy at the Sub-Category level, in full cooperation with Operations Team and Product Teams
  • Ensures the Purchasing Finished Goods strategy contributes to the Product Technical Platforms Portfolio strategy
  • Aligns strategy with Product project level, ensuring that strategy guidelines for the Make/Buy decision are applied PPC

The skills and knowledge you’ll bring:

  • 7-10 years in program management, Finished Goods development and / or purchasing, or DFX-related roles.
  • Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and implementing strategic initiatives. Expertise in Finished Goods purchasing strategies, make/buy decision-making, and manufacturing lifecycle management.
  • Proficiency in KPI tracking and performance management.
  • Competence in data analysis, strategy documentation, and portfolio management
