At Philips, our purpose is to improve people’s lives. Philips magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is uniquely positioned to improve the quality of diagnostic outcomes with best-in-class imaging systems, software, and workflow solutions.

Within Philips, portfolio performance insights are seen as a key differentiator in our commercial excellence strategy driving sustainable profitable growth. As an intern Business Analyst, you will support in delivering tangible business impact for the MR business, working alongside experienced colleagues. You support in enabling the marketing team with strategy and portfolio performance analytics and insights, covering strategic pricing, install-base, market, and competitive analytics.

If you are passionate about data analytics and translating data into actionable insights and business strategies that will help capture the full potential of our products and solutions, we love to hear from you.

In this role, you will

  • Play a pivotal role with integrating relevant in- and external data sources to generate a comprehensive understanding of our business performance and translate this into tangible insights and opportunities.
  • Create monthly/quarterly reports for key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor our initiatives' success and identify further opportunities.
  • Provide commercial performance insights covering our end-to-end sales funnel (visibility, win-rate, funnel velocity, win/loss root cause analysis).
  • Maintain our pricing analytics and provide pricing performance insights that allow to maximize value extraction of both our product and services portfolio.
  • Establish a strong data-underpinned understanding of trends impacting our future price and margin (e.g. inflation outlook, cost developments, competition pricing).

You will be part of the Marketing Operations and Planning team and will work closely together with Pricing, CLV, and Market intelligence colleagues of MR. You effectively work across business (e.g. product management), markets and functions (finance, Marketing Intelligence and Analytics), process and data owners. The team operates in an open, ‘can-do’ atmosphere and is characterized by a “self-starting” mentality.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

  • Current enrollment in a MSc program or last year of a bachelor program (Finance, Data Science, Marketing, Business Administration or Technical Discipline or equivalent)
  • Highly analytical mindset and a strong professional drive
  • Strong and open-minded team player who can work with various nationalities and cultures
  • Modelling experience in Excel and neat PowerPoint skills
  • Fluency in written/spoken English
  • Relevant analytics internship experience is preferred

  • Monthly full-time allowance between €500 - €700 gross, depending on educational level and if you would need to relocate to The Netherlands. If you will perform a part-time internship you will receive the allowance pro-rata.
  • Housing compensation, in case of relocating to the vicinity of the office, €300 net if location is in the vicinity of Amsterdam, €255 net for all other Philips locations. You need to provide a rental contract of the landlord, and your normal home-work travel distance needs to be more than 50 km or travel time (one way trip) needs to be more than 1.5 hours.
  • Travel compensation, if you are not eligible for a free public transport card; you will receive max. €192 net
  • Paid holidays per internship term.
  • The opportunity to buy Philips equipment at our Philips shop
